Questions about policy, privacy, corrections or published content may be sent through the official contact or grievance channel.
Editorial Control
Publication decisions remain subject to human editorial review.
Corrections and Grievances
Public processes are available for errors, replies and formal grievances.
1. Intake and Assignment
Ground reports, public records, RTI replies, complaints, reader tips and events are triaged by public importance, risk and verifiability.
2. Evidence Preservation
Original files, links, screenshots, download time, metadata, recordings and notes are preserved. Sensitive identities receive restricted access.
3. Verification
Names, dates, amounts, locations, departments, order numbers and quotations are checked against primary records or independent sources.
4. Response and Risk Review
A response is sought for serious allegations, and an editor reviews defamation, privacy, safety, children, court restrictions and sufficiency of evidence.
5. Publication and Distribution
Content is published and distributed after title, summary, category, location, author, featured image, source note and required labels are completed.
6. Post-Publication
New responses, decisive evidence, correction requests and safety risks are monitored. Material changes receive an update or correction note.
